
The applicant must first start operation before any certification audit can be conducted.
- The scope of audit will cover from the point of rearing of the live birds to the delivery of meat (including slaughtering and tagging of Halal labels)
- ICH appointed agent will conduct a certification audit for new applicants with advance notice. Repeat audits will be conducted when necessary.

Pre Audit:
An audit should be done at the premises for assessment and evaluation
- The slaughtering plant should be Inspected and approved by our ICH for slaughtering of livestock according to Islamic Rites.
- The plant should be under the Ministry health inspection, has a current Grant of inspection and applies a HACCP program.
- The animal’s should not have been fed any pork ingredient or filth material.
- The animal’s should be healthy and free of diseases at the time of slaughtering . No processing of downers
